Catholic trustees spike secret votes

Just months after defeating a motion to end secret ballots, some Huron-Superior Catholic District School Board trustees have changed their position on the issue.The decision to nix secret votes except in limited circumstances, approved at a meeting last Wednesday, follows “a lot of soul searching and getting legal advice,” by trustees, chair Lindsay Liske told The Sault Star. “We said we better do it that way. We’re an elected board. We have to be held accountable.”
