Bankruptcy protection for Algoma stalled building projects in Sault Ste. Marie in 2018.
Permit revenue was about $175,000 below budget, chief building official Freddie Pozzebon said in a report to council.
Total permit fees stood at 1,000,786.
Direct and indirect service costs totalled $1,083,090.
The difference of $82,304 was covered by tapping the building permit reserve fund.
The new balance of that fund is $109,420.
