Bridge tolls climb

Tolls to cross the International Bridge increase on April 1.Cars, light trucks and motorcycles will pay $5.30 per crossing, Sault Ste. Marie Bridge Authority says.Discounted fares for commuters will also increase. New rates will range from $3.71 to $4.77 per trip. Toll reduction of 10 to 30 per cent is based on number of trips made oer the previous 30 days.The bridge plans to spend $9.4 million over the next decade for capital improvements. Toll revenue covers that cost.
