Biweekly ArtHives are trauma therapy

The city’s ArtSpeaks Project started in 2017 but has changed since then to focus on offering what are known as ArtHives through a space at Sault Ste. Marie Museum.Maria Parrella-ilaria, ArtSpeaks project co-ordinator, told Sault This Week ArtHives is a term coined by a Concordia University professor to refer to a safe space provided to participants to create art as communication and therapy. The Hive has no set activities. Instead, participants choose whichever medium they prefer.
