Emjay Jones, 6, holds Little Yen, a nearly one-year-old silkie chicken at Seedy Saturday at Sault College. Little Yen makes and incubates eggs, but is “mainly for show,” said owner Camille Springbett. Seedy Saturday activities included shopping for seeds, learning about bat houses and rain barrels and sorting worms. Jones has also held a caterpillar and spider and ridden a horse.
