Bellevue Park has no shade to throw

The 12 umbrellas that shade picnic tables around the city’s new splash pad at Bellevue Park are no longer up.
City staff had put the umbrellas up in the morning and down at night. However, shortly after the splash pad opened on June 8, one umbrella was stolen.
Each umbrella is anchored by one holding pin.
All 11 remaining umbrellas have since deteriorated, “we would think some by abuse, and others by wind,” said Enzo Tridico, maintenance supervisor of the city’s parks div
