Bear hurts dog

A dog was hurt after encountering a bear in the area of Strathclair Park.The incident was reported to Sault Ste. Marie Police Service on Thursday.The canine was treated for its injuries.Ministry of Natural Resource and Forestry is investigating.Lincoln Louttit, Sault Ste. Marie Police Service spokesperson, was not aware of any other bear sightings in the park area of Black Road and Second Line East.Residents are reminded bears are coming out of hibernation.Pets are required to be on a leash unle
