Backhoe driver charged

A man who wasn’t supposed to drive was allegedly found operating a backhoe in Blind River.Ontario Provincial Police spotted the male driving the heavy equipment on Centre Street late Tuesday afternoon, a release says.The backhoe was towed. IB Towing Services, of Blind River, “didn’t have a problem” removing the backhoe, said Const. Bev Gauthier.Michael Setchell, 45, of Blind River, was charged with two counts operation while prohibited.His court date is April 4.
