Avoid 'disaster' by uniting Thessalon, Richards Landing hospitals: Doctors

One “realistic” way of healing a current health-care crisis in eastern Algoma is uniting Thessalon and Richards Landing hospitals into one entity, housed in a spanking-new facility. That was the message Wednesday evening to a packed cafeteria at Central Algoma Secondary School when a handful of district doctors unveiled a plan they and regional health-care colleagues across North Shore Health Network contend will help stem a dire situation that is “about to become a disaster.&
