Assault charges laid

A 29-year-old man has been charged with assault.Police say that on Sunday at about 6 a.m., a man and woman began arguing and the dispute between the couple escalated. It’s alleged the male choked the female and damaged property inside the residence.It’s further alleged the female attempted to leave and the male stopped her from doing so.Police say the victim eventually left the residence on foot and the male drove a motor vehicle towards her at a high rate of speed, nearly colliding
