APH making changes to genetic counselling program

Algoma Public Health is planning to wind down their genetic counselling department as one of their cost-cutting measures and way to stretch limited budget money, The Sault Star has learned.
APH manager of communications Leo Vecchio says the public health unit has “planned changes to the delivery of the genetics program. The services is not being cut but will undergo a transition and once the transition plan is finalized, we will share confirmed details,” he said in an emailed respons
