Everybody loves a ghost story, and everybody knows one, whether it’s Queen Anne Boleyn stalking the Tower of London with her head tucked underneath her arm, or just a campfire jump-scare tale.
Halloween is particularly a time for ghosts and haunts and stories about eerie and unexplained happenings. It has its roots in the old Celtic festival of Samhain (pronounced so-een), the pagan new year. During the time between sunset on Oct. 31 and sunrise on Nov. 1, spirits of the dead walked abroad
