Advance poll nets strong voter turnout

The first of three advance polls held for the municipal election saw a good turnout, the city clerk reports.
Saturday’s advance poll saw 688 voters make their way to the Civic Centre to cast their ballot. The tally is slightly higher than the 2014 advance poll results which saw 660 voters participate.
The statistics are also broken down by wards.  Ward 1 saw 177 voters, Ward 2 191 voters, Ward 3 136 voters, Ward 4 105 voters and Ward 5 79 voters.
