Surviving Las Vegas
A gunman on the 32nd floor of Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino rained heavy fire on a crowd of more than 22,000 people at an outdoor country music festival, turning the expanse into a killing field from which there was little escape. At least 59 people died and at least 527 people were injured, according to Clark County Sheriff Joseph Lombardo.
