Woman rushed to hospital following hatchet attack

A 49-year-old woman was rushed to hospital and a 49-year-old man has been charged with aggravated assault after what police say was a hatchet attack on Thursday.
At roughly 4:20 p.m., city police received a report of a domestic disturbance possible involving weapons in the 600 block of 45th Street West, according to a police news release.When officers arrived, they found a woman suffering from a “severe head injury” after being struck by a hatchet, police said in a news release.
