Wine World: An older label with a modern sensibility

The wines of Veneto are eternally popular with consumers. Corvina and Rondinella are the traditional grapes that make up the justifiably famous Amarone and Valpolicella of the region. With the introduction of the IGT (Indicazione Geografica Tipica) classification, the vintners became free to cultivate and blend in other grapes to make the wines more acceptable to New World drinkers and sometimes even improving them.
Prior to the invention of Appellations in France vintners pretty much grew and t
