Wildfire forces hundreds out of Southend

A 3,000-hectare wildfire has driven about 750 residents out of their homes in the community of Southend.
According to the Ministry of Environment, 13 fires were burning throughout the province on Thursday, three of which had not been contained.
The Woods fire is burning over 3,000 hectares and remains only 13 kilometres southwest of Southend — a remote location about 220 kilometres northeast of La Ronge.
No roads lead into the fire, but community leaders declared a local emergency on Tuesd
