What is this Fringe thing, anyway?

After 29 years of research, Festivologists are still trying to define what exactly the Fringe might be.
It has live theatre indoors. It has professional performers on the street. It has craft, art and clothing vendors. It has food trucks and trailers.
So, is it a theatre festival or a street festival or a culturally infused sidewalk sale or a street eats feast? While researchers grapple with the question, we’ll concentrate less on what it is and more on how the 2018 Nutrien Fringe Theatre
