Wade away, but swimming banned in river in Saskatoon

Feel free to cool off in the South Saskatchewan River in Saskatoon, as long as your feet maintain contact with the bottom.
Swimming in the river is prohibited within city limits, but wading is permitted, the Saskatoon Fire Department reminded residents this week as the city sweltered through a heat wave.
“We just thought this was an ideal time to remind everybody,” assistant fire chief Wayne Rodger said in an interview.
