Vigilant Resident Helps Catch Thief - 500 block 4th Ave N.

A Saskatoon man is in custody facing a number of charges as a result of an incident that took place just before 8:00 AM Saturday in the 500 block of 4th Ave N.A resident in the area called police and reported seeing a man rifling through vehicles in a parking lot.  Officers responded and confronted a man matching the description. Initially the suspect did not obey police instruction and squared off with an officer.  The suspect was holding a knife in one hand and a pair of pliers
