Trial begins with search warrant application for two men accused in fentanyl overdoses

A provincial court trial has begun for two of three men charged in connection with fatal fentanyl overdoses in Saskatoon last year.
Japmanjot Grewal, 22, and Shervin Dass Beeharry, 20, pleaded not guilty on Tuesday to several drug trafficking and weapons charges laid after seven people overdosed from fentanyl-laced cocaine on March 10, 2018. Four people died and three others were hospitalized.
The men are not on trial for manslaughter and criminal negligence causing death and bodily harm charges
