Tiny insect threatening thousands more Saskatoon ash trees
A tiny pest that is believed to be thriving due to warmer winters and drier conditions is claiming thousands of trees in Saskatoon.
The City of Saskatoon cannot keep up with residents’ demands to remove trees killed by the cottony ash psyllid, a three-millimetre lice species that kills black ash trees, a city council committee heard Wednesday.
