Third area code set aside for Saskatchewan

With Saskatchewan’s two area codes, 306 and 639, projected to be exhausted by June 2022, a third area code has been set aside for the province.
The third code is 474.
The news was contained in a notice of consultation from the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC).
The notice establishes an ad hoc relief planning committee for the 306 and 639 area codes.
