As families across Canada put away their tinsel and throw out wrapping paper, there’s still one big part of the holiday season destined for recycling: The Christmas tree.
The City of Saskatoon has set up six areas across the city as live Christmas tree drop-off locations until the end of January. Anyone hoping for a grander fate for their old Christmas tree will be disappointed, however, as all of the trees brought in will be put through the wood chipper.
