Tank: Saskatoon's airport rebranded as Skyxe, but why-xe?
In 1993, Saskatoon’s airport was renamed to honour Canada’s 13th prime minister, John G. Diefenbaker.
Nearly two years ago, the airport rebranded itself in a pointless, bizarre and insulting exercise as Skyxe Saskatoon Airport. That’s not a joke; although, really, it is a joke.
Saskatoon has eclipsed the name of a former prime minister for a bad hashtag pun that, for most visitors, will look like a typo.
Technically, the official name of the airport remains John G. Diefenbaker
