Tank: Did Saskatoon learn from loss of Farnam Block?

Just slightly more than five years ago, Saskatoon’s iconic Lydia’s Pub in the historic Farnam Block building on Broadway Avenue closed suddenly and for good.
Two years later, the structure was demolished by the owners and work has now begun on a replacement that will house a brew pub.
Last month, the Globe and Mail published a full-page graphic called Lost Buildings of Canada. The Farnam Block occupied the No. 2 spot.
