Sutherland Hotel to close Oct. 30, re-emerge as office and retail space

A Central Avenue landmark and longtime fixture on the Saskatoon club circuit has been acquired by a local insurance broker, which plans to move in as well as establish additional office and retail spaces.
Rayner Agencies Ltd., which is owned by the Wasylenko family, bought the Sutherland Hotel — located down the street from its current office — from local entrepreneur Trevor Mawson, who ran it for the the last 32 years.
