Strike continues at Saskatoon Co-op after latest round of bargaining fails

Friday’s round of bargaining between Saskatoon Co-op and the union that represents most of its workers did not result in a deal.
Saskatoon Co-op said in a news release that it improved its offer with a higher wage increase, which was rejected by United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW) Local 1400.
Employees at about two dozen Co-op grocery stores, gas bars and hardware stores in Saskatoon, Martensville, Warman and Colonsay went on strike Thursday morning.
