Some mature elm trees at Gordie Howe Sports Complex could be saved

Saskatoon city hall has heard the cries to save trees wherever possible.
Lynne Lacroix, the city’s director of recreation and community development, told a council committee 22 to 25 mature elm trees at the Gordie Howe Sports Complex could be spared the axe.
Upgrades to the sports complex were originally expected to result in the removal of about 216 trees, although 290 replacement trees are supposed to be planted.
