Six-hour standoff with Saskatoon police leads to seven arrests

A six-hour police standoff in Saskatoon resulted in the arrests of seven people on new charges or outstanding warrants.
The incident started Thursday around 11:20 p.m., when officers responded to a residence in the 500 block of Avenue M North and “witnessed someone in the home holding a hand gun,” police said in a news release. When officers “attempted to intervene, the occupants barricaded themselves inside the home.”
