Sex crimes unit investigating reported sexual assault

City police are investigating after they say a woman was sexually assaulted on Monday.
Police say at roughly 2 a.m., a woman reported that she was physically and sexually assaulted by an unknown man outside of a business in the 3300 block of Eighth Street East.
Police say the woman was injured in the assault and was taken to hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening. Members of the city police service’s sex crime unit are now investigating.
