Second major grain backlog in five years casts a shadow
Farmers across Saskatchewan have fired up their tractors and dusted off their air drills and embarked upon spring seeding, an annual ritual on which each year’s profits depend.
But this year’s growing season is beginning under the shadow of a major railway grain backlog, the second in five years, that kept farmers from getting paid and had a major impact on the province.
