Second-degree murder charge laid in weekend shooting in La Loche

A 23-year-old La Loche man is facing a charge of second-degree murder in connection with a fatal shooting in the northern Saskatchewan community.
Tristin Janvier is scheduled to appear Monday via video in Meadow Lake provincial court , RCMP said in a news release.
RCMP responded Saturday around 6:30 a.m. Saturday to the scene outside a residence in La Loche, which is located about 600 kilometres northwest of Saskatoon. A 24-year-old man was found dead at the scene, RCMP said.
