SaskTel reports $135M net income off revenue increase, drop in expenses

Revenue was up and operating expenses were down for SaskTel, as the Crown Corporation reported a year-over-year rise in net income of nearly $30 million.
SaskTel on Tuesday in its 2016-17 report declared operating revenues of $1.277 billion and a net income of $134.8 million for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2017. The net income was up $28.9 million year-over-year thanks to a one-per-cent rise in revenue and .7 per cent decline in operating expenses, according to the provincial government.
