Saskatoon's youth orchestra turns 60

The Saskatoon Youth Orchestra is celebrating six decades of making music on Saturday, March 10 with a gala dinner and concert. Jenn Sharp looks at five SYO things.
1. Excellence. The SYO has become one of the best music programs in the country for young musicians. Key builders were Wayne Toews and George Charpentier who took over as music directors in 1983 and worked for 25 years together.
