Saskatoon's riverside beaver population up as trees come down
If you’ve noticed more fallen trees near the river bearing the marks of beaver teeth, you’re not alone. The concentration of beavers along the South Saskatchewan River has been greater this year.
Kenton Lysak, a senior interpreter with the Meewasin Valley Authority, said this year there are more beavers in the area, especially near Beaver Creek Conservation area.
