Saskatoon Valkyries win WWCFL third place game

In front of a hometown crowd on Saturday, the Saskatoon Valkyries ended their Western Women’s Canadian Football League season with a win, earning third place in the league with a 44-20 victory over the Edmonton Storm. 
The Valkyries led 20-7 at the end of the first quarter thanks to two passing touchdowns from quarterback Alex Eyolfson—one to Alyssa Wiebe, the other to Jaime Lammerding— and a pair of field goals by Carly Dyck.
