Saskatoon records nation's second-largest building permit decline: StatsCan

Saskatoon experienced the sharpest decline in building permit values of every census metropolitan area in Canada except Moncton over the last 12 months, according to new data from Statistics Canada.
The total value of building permits issued in June was $74 million, down 45.8 per cent from the $136.4 million worth of permits issued in June 2016, the government data bureau reported on Wednesday.
