Saskatoon oil and gas technology firm acquired for US$42 million

A Saskatoon company that designs and builds oil and gas well site technology has been acquired by an American frac sand producer for up to US$42.75 million.
Erin Herman, who together with his father Alvin founded Quickthree Solutions Inc., said he was pleased with Texas-based Smart Sand Inc.’s offer for their company.
“It’s the kind of culmination of years of hard work,” Herman said in an interview last week, the day after Smart Sand confirmed its plan to buy the eight-ye
