Saskatoon fire crews busy with two apartment fires Tuesday night

The Saskatoon Fire Department responded to two separate apartment fires Tuesday evening, both deemed accidental after an investigation.
The first call came in just before 6 p.m. for a balcony fire at a three-story apartment building at 423 4th Ave. North. 
Firefighters extinguished the fire and an investigation found the cause to be “careless disposal of smoking materials.”
Damage is estimated at $10,000. There were no reported injuries.
