Saskatoon councillor seeks to name River Landing promenade for Joni Mitchell

Legendary singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell might finally get official recognition in Saskatoon.
Coun. Ann Iwanchuk will seek support Monday for her proposal to name the promenade at River Landing for the musician.
City council and others in the community have struggled for years to find a suitable way to honour Mitchell.
In 2013, Mitchell asked for a collection of memorabilia in the city to be returned to her. At the time, she said she wanted nothing to do with any more attempts to honour her.
