Saskatoon councillor posts petition aimed at new firepit rules

At Monday’s city council meeting, he voted against a new rule restricting the use of backyard firepits outside the hours of 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. The vote was 6-5 in favour of time limits.
Now, Jeffries has launched a petition-style website to show support for “balanced” regulations focused on enforcing the existing bylaw rather than imposing an “arbitrary” time limit.
