Saskatoon council to vote on halting organics collection

The waste diversion roller-coaster could continue at Saskatoon city hall this month.
On Jan. 28, city council is scheduled to vote on whether to abandon plans to introduce an organic material collection program for single-family homes in 2020.
Coun. Randy Donauer signalled at the end of last month’s city council meeting that he intends to trigger a vote on putting the organics program on hold and considering a pilot project instead.
