Saskatoon Co-op workers hit picket lines for first time in 35 years
Days after voting down management’s final contract offer, around 900 Saskatoon Co-op employees bundled up, grabbed signs and began walking picket lines across the city Thursday morning.
The retail co-operative’s grocery store, gas bar and hardware store employees went on strike after contract talks with management reached an impasse over a proposed second wage tier for new hires.
