Saskatoon city councillors' travel spending up in 2017

Despite a challenging budget year, Saskatoon city councillors spent more on travel in 2017 than in either of the two previous years.
According to a City of Saskatoon report, councillors claimed $68,581.68 in travel expenses last year, up from $38,375.49 in 2016, an election year, and $57,215.73 in 2015.
Mayor Charlie Clark claimed $7,552.48 in travel expenses, well below the budget of $42,000. That compares to $4,471.46 for travel within Canada by former mayor Don Atchison in 2016, although Atch
