Saskatoon celebrates the opening of the Chief Mistawasis Bridge

Mayor Charlie Clark remembers it as a line on a map six years ago and part of a long-term vision. On Tuesday, the Chief Mistawasis Bridge became a reality — and open to the public.
“Today is the culmination of many years of planning and preparation,” said Clark on Tuesday, where hundreds of people — including former mayor Don Atchison and former city manager Murray Totland — gathered for the grand opening of the bridge.
