Saskatoon Catholic school division apologizing after Grade 3 students given crossword with offensive language

The Saskatoon Catholic school division is apologizing and promising to continue working toward reconciliation after students in a Grade 3 class at Mother Teresa School were given a crossword puzzle containing offensive terms for Indigenous people.
Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools director of education Greg Chatlain said the teacher feels “absolutely awful” for handing out the puzzle, and that apology letters will be sent home with all of the students in her class.
