Saskatoon Blades pick up win No. 40, down Regina Pats

Make that win No.40 for the Saskatoon Blades.
For the first time since the 2012-13 season, when the team played host to the Memorial Cup, the Blades reached the 40-win mark thanks to a 4-0 shutout victory Friday over the visiting Regina Pats.
Nolan Maier made 19 saves to post the shutout.
Eric Florchuk, with a short-handed marker, Max Gerlach, Ryan Hughes and Kyle Crnkovic each scored for Saskatoon, which led  2-0 and 4-0 by periods.
The Blades outshot the Pats 35-19.
