Saskatchewan Rush lose in OT 15-14 as Georgia Swarm win first championship

The National Lacrosse League has a new champion, and for the first time in two seasons, it’s not the Saskatchewan Rush.
The visiting Georgia Swarm halted Saskatchewan’s run at a three-peat with a 15-14 overtime victory Saturday night at SaskTel Centre. The victory gives Georgia a two-game sweep in their best-of-three NLL final.
Miles Thompson scored the winner 1:17 into the extra session. The Swarm tied the game with two seconds to play on a bizarre empty-net goal that saw Saskatchew
