Sask. among provinces with the lowest reported hate crimes

Only 1.2 per cent of hate crimes reported to police in Canada in 2015 were reported in Saskatchewan.
The number was so low, Statistics Canada analyst Ben Leber was unable to share many of the details due to the organization’s confidentiality rules.
“Some of the (ethnicities and religions targeted) were only one or two (of the reports.) If someone wanted to go back to determine who the victim is, they could. That’s what we are trying to protect,” he said.
